How do I know the version of Java that I'm using in Linux? I've tried all of these java --version, java -v, java -V but the error is always the same Unrecognized option: --version.

I am using openJDK 11.0.11 and both java --version and java -version work

Answering my own question...

For openjdk-8 only -version works, but not --version.
