I like Firefox Containers, but sometimes they get hung up and I have to wait for some javascript process (or maybe wasm process?) and I need to wait for the entire browser to catch up. So today I was thinking, what about using env? Does anyone know if anyone has used env to isolate their instance of Firefox instead?

This is mostly an issue I run into at work where we have to use so many browser apps. This issue does not affect my actual work duties.

What is env?

env lets a user display the values used in the current shell or modify those values.

If you are talking about sandboxing Firefox, I don't think env is enough. You can use various approaches but one easy enough is a Docker container.
